Here he was involved in global herbicide research with locations in Germany, USA and UK. Later he was in charge for global business development for Helm AG, including strategy, regulatory affairs and product development. Since 2017 he is Managing Director of Jebagro GmbH. Jebagro belongs to global Jebsen and Jessen group of family enterprises.

Michael Gomes

Michael Gomes

Vice President, Business Development IoT, Topcon Agriculture

Michael Gomes has been active in the industry of precision agriculture for more than 24 years, helping farmers resolve challenges in the field applying electronics and technology for improved efficiency and optimized operation. As Vice President of Business Development IoT for Topcon Agriculture, his responsibilities include working between the global sales, product development and marketing teams to formulate business strategy and implement strategic alliances and projects globally.
His personal work experience includes utilizing various sensing technologies: optical, sonic and positioning integrated with machine control to automate and streamline functionality from planting through harvest. He is a co-inventor on patents in auto steering, sensors and user interface. He is a founding member of the Ag Data Coalition, an inter industry collaboration in the form of a non-profit organization striving to help farmers with data and its opportunities. As a native of California, he has familiarity with various aspects of specialty and horticultural crop production and irrigation technologies.

C S Liew

Managing Director, Pacific Agriscience Pte Ltd

C S Liew, Managing Director of Singapore-based Pacific Agriscience, graduated from Iowa State University in 1979 with a double major in Agronomy and Pest Management. CS has had two summers of field R&D internships with American Cyanamid, in York, Nebraska in 1977 and Tifton, Georgia in 1978 prior to joining Ciba-Geigy in Malaysia in 1979. He moved to Singapore in 1980 and worked in various international roles from Market Research to Registrations and then to more senior management roles at Uniroyal Chemical. After 11 years with Uniroyal, CS worked for Nufarm, also based in Singapore, for 7 years in senior positions. He then set up his own agchem trading and marketing company, Pacific Agriscience, in 1999.
